Christmas Eve

* Christmas baking*
*Cold fingers and toes*
*Hot chocolate to drink*
*Bright lights*
*Sunday School concerts*
*Family visiting*
*Layers and layers of clothes*
*School concerts*
*Joyous music playing everywhere you go*
*Wrapped presents*
*Christmas dinner with all the trimmings*
*Decorated Christmas trees*
*Hustle and bustle that we are so familiar with in the Christmases past*
Many of the above items we have not seen here and are missing this Christmas.

Peter did buy a small artificial tree yesterday, they had just gotten them into Nyagatare, and we put it up this morning, along with the string of lights he bought too. We had a few decorations from last Christmas and I had made a few snow flakes that we put on the tree. We may pop some corn and string it.  We gave a $ gift to all the ones that work for us. We are going to "Jackson's" church for Christmas morning to celebrate Christmas, which I believe includes a meal. We have been invited over to fellow missionaries for Christmas dinner.

*Moto rides*
*Corn on the cob*
*Green grass*
*Flowers blooming*
*Warm weather*
*T-shirts and shorts*
*Beans and rice*
*Cucumbers growing in the garden*
So glad for internet and that we can connect with family. We are hoping to do that this year again. We love the traditional Christmases we celebrated in Canada but we also love the Christmases in Rwanda.

Merry Christmas to all of you!
A Happy New Year!
