Mango, Workers, Dress, Radish, Grasshoppers and Skirts

The mango tree is laden with mangoes. Can hardly wait for Dec. when they will be ripe.
Some workers the other morning across the road from our place.
3 meters x 15 meters, they will hoe up the grass and get paid 1000RWF. It will likely take them 5 hrs.
It was finished by the time we got home.
 Esther's baby dress.
Okay so in the lettuce row was a radish. We didn't know it till I checked it. It looked a bit weird, and after pulling it out and tasting it - yep, it's a radish. Biggest one we've ever grown! It must have been in with the lettuce seeds as we didn't have a package of radish seeds.
Sliced up and served with our candle lit dinner last night.
The pieces were as big as the top of a coffee mug!
"Alphonsine, you won't like it." "Yes, mommy, peelee, peelee."
But we found her piece, with two bites taken out, hidden under a bowl!!
Grasshopper season! How they get in I'm not sure.
But they do, and we catch them, put them in a jar,
and I fed them to the chickens in the morning!
That was a good feast for them. We caught about 12 or so.

Three skirts are finished today!
 Margueritte

They are doing a great job. It is so nice to see their good work.
