Update - We Have Been Busy

Monday, October 15, 2012
We went to the Immigration Office to pick up our new Green Cards, just to find out that they are not valid anymore, and the Government now wants to issue new Electronic ID Cards, and we can come back with the new papers filled out next Monday! The green cards will work until then!
More sewing at the school.
Brought back some corn to transplant (experiment) as it was just being hoed under at the Pre-school groundbreaking!

We ran out of internet!!! We are using a modem - suppose to have lots of access and time - middle of the month and we've run out! Plan B - it wasn't enough either! And now back on, for who knows how long!!!
Sewing a small bag with button closure so that I can teach the students how to make the buttonhole stitch around a button hole! There will be need for practice on that - I remember my first buttonhole stitching too!

We have a guest for 10 days! Her name is Madeleen from Namibia (near South Africa). She is white, missionary with OM (Operation Mobilization), she was staying and helping out at the YWAM Rwanda base and wanted to come and see the work here and help out. It is nice to have her here and learn from her a few things, as she learns from us!!! She is searching and waiting on the Lord to guide her into full time ministry and wants to be open to His leading!

Daniel gives his presentation! (taped it with my camera for him) It was an honor to go with him and meet some of his family and have them over after! He did a great job! Congratualtions Dr. Daniel!!!!
Went to the "market" and Madeleen bought some material for me to make her a dress!
Daniel (with the bowtie), his father, and his brother and his brother's two boys came for his presentation.

Family and friends.

Over to our place for brochettes and cake!

Went to the sewing school and then in the evening watched a movie with our guest! Time for a bit of a break!

I stayed home and did some needed 'books'! Peter and Madeleen went and did children's ministry in Ryabaga.
More groundbreaking at the Pre-shool site!
Had planted some seeds last Saturday - and some of them are up already. Cucumber, melon, zucchini, and Golden Delight!

Went to church, Madeleen and Peter shared, I have a cold - a lot have been getting sick as the weather has changed, it is more wet and cool so they come down with cold symptoms, and I got it too! First time my voice has gone on me!

Cora-Jean's Bday - never got around to phoning her!
Took the papers for the new Electronic ID Card up to the Immigration Office.
Noticed that the beets, lettuce, chinese cabbage are up now too!
Finished Madeleen's dress! (Need to take a picture of the dress!)

Tuesday, October 23, 2012
Showed the sewing students Madeleen's dress - they all want to make one now!
Daniel made the decision to pack up his things and move. Today we said our goodbyes and he left to spend time with his family. We will see him again about the 24th of November for his graduation.
We will miss him.
Alphonsine will be moving in tomorrow and live here with us full time!
Found out friends at the YWAM Rwanda base had a new baby, so had to make a little dress for her. Sewed it at the school - so that may be the next project for the students to sew!
Got around to talking with Cora-Jean, and wished her a Happy Birthday!

Well, that about catches you up on what's been happening here.
