Christmas is over!

Well, Christmas is over. Well sort of! It's the 30th today, and the tree is gone, the decorations are put back into their boxes. There is still candy and nuts to be eaten, and Christmas cards from family and friends that need to be put away. I still have yet to make "Christmas dinner", plans are to do it tomorrow on New Year's Day.

BUT the most important reason it's not over is - I haven't gotten my Christmas present yet!!!!!! It's in the mail so I'm hoping I'll get is soonish! It's an iPod Touch!! Can hardly wait!

St. Nickolas Day!

St. Nick came to our house last night!
(we've been having fun with German traditions!)

You put your boot out and it is filled with treats and a gift!
Diane got a bell!

Peter got a star!
(Caleb got gloves and Katharina got a poem book!)

2nd Advent Sunday

November 28th was the First Advent Sunday - Jesus is the Light,
since then Katharina has gotten all the supplies
and made up the Advent Wreath.
Today was, Second Advent Sunday - Jesus is the Savior.
We light them every meal and have a reading
once a day from a little booklet about Advent.

(Advent refer to the 'coming' of Jesus Christ.
Advent points us to the birth of Jesus,
and reminds us that Jesus will return in glory.)

Advent & Christmas Decorations!

Caleb & Katharina wanted to decorate the tree they got for us!

Katha made an Advent Wreath!

Very nice! Now we can use it instead of the candle we were using. (She was waiting for supplies.)
And there was enough to make a decoration for the front door!
Thanks Caleb and Katharina!
We love to have the German 'flavor' in our Christmas celebrations this Christmas1
