Another Project!

Bernat Yarn is hosting a Mystery Afghan Crochet-Along. I've so much yarn and also happen to have enough yarn for each color and so I have decided to join in on the fun. They just posted the first clue yesterday! So I did up the first 'squares' and am excited about getting it finished. It is suppose to take up to December to finish getting all the clues - a new one each week.

Life Expectancy of a Dishwasher is 10 to 15 Years - Why are you still washing dishes?

Okay, so the dishwasher died last night! I'm glad we were home, as it was a bit stinky in the house for awhile. It was electrical, 'cause it was letting out smoke and making a horrible noise! The dishes were clean but the water didn't drain so that was fun when Peter removed it. It did many loads and we had it for about 12 years, not bad when the life expectancy of a dishwasher is 10 to 15 years! (I'm secretly happy, I knew this one was going and was wanting another one! Now we have to replace it!!!) [Don't you even think about us not replacing it!] I guess I'll be the dishwasher now, until this one is replaced!!! :-(
But I'm sure that I've done my 10 to 15 years already!

Speed Knitting

Rachelle is learning to knit!
She's doing very well too!
She calls it 'speed knitting' and
for a beginner she's learning quickly!

By the time she had to go, she had quite a bit done!

Cocoon

Another soaker/cocoon for Matthias.

Apron!

This apron was given to me on my 50 B-day last year.
This year it got two new footprints put on it,
Conner's and Matthias's.

Some of My Pottery!

I was going through "STUFF" because we are having a garage sale and getting rid of "STUFF", and realized I didn't have my pottery on my blog!
So here it is!
I did it a few years back when I needed some thing to do!
The first three are 'hand' crafted, the next two are 'form' made, the last two were done on a wheel. It was a lot of fun, and I wish to do it again some time. These ones are just a few of many that I made. I gave many away as gifts for Christmas one year. I did take pictures at the time but that was before my 'digital camera age'.

More Material from Rwanda

Above is pieces of fabric I brought back from Rwanda.
My sister put this together. Great Job!

Above is the other side which was given to us by a Rwandan National!

This says 'Give God Praise" in Swahili.

So my sister (Bless her!) made a label for the quilt too!
Thanks Leona!
